Because the temples are ephemeral, they are even more effective as places to resolve loss than some centuries old stone structure.

I’m not supportive of ever expanding man effigy and structure expenses and extravagance. It is a small part of the budget, but should be reevaluated. A couple of hay bales without fireworks is fine by me, as we know, build it and they will come.

With the transition to the non-profit, every budget item needs a new look.

I ended up right in the middle of the falling burning debris cloud from the temple this year. It was actually pretty fun standing in the bed of my truck swatting away hot coals as they fell lazily out of the sky. It even drove away an art car that had pulled obnoxiously close just as the burn started, which was nice.
